4th of July

We had an awesome 4th of July celebration but before I get into that, I want to share a funny story about Ross. We were all sitting at the table eating dinner and Ross was wearing a sleeveless shirt, he was looking at his bicep and rubbing it and said, I am starting to get one of those bumps on my arm like Popeye (PiePie is the way he says it) and daddy. He was so was really really cute.

We went to a 4th of July celebration at a place called Living Alternatives here in Lindale. It is a Christ centered place for women who find themseleves in a situation of unplanned pregnancy and gives them a place to go and get help. It was a free event and they did accept donations to help their cause. I was very impressed with how well planned this event was, there were so many activities for the kids to participate in and Ross had a blast. I was also very thankful for the family friendly atomosphere, there were several Christian bands that played great music. There were bouncy houses (wet and dry), swings, face painting, rock-climbing wall, pool, fishing, snow cones and more! At 9pm they started the fireworks, we all piled onto the blanket and enjoyed the show. We can't wait to go back next year!

We were really impressed with how high
Ross climbed...he wasn't scared at all!

Ross and I climbing the wall together

I did not have a very graceful landing as you can see...

This is how Ross watched the fireworks...with his hands over his ears...he is so funny. His little arms were getting tired so I had him sit in my lap and I covered his ears for him.

They also had a drawing for a door prize, which was 4 season passes to Splash Kingdom -a water park in Canton. To our surprise - WE WON!!! Derek and I were completely shocked and very excited! This is a picture of Ross and me with our prize!
