I haven't written in a while due to the fact that I have had HORRIBLE morning sickness (and when I say morning sickness....I mean ALL day sickness). I pretty much have been just trying to coast thru each day and keep down anything that I can! I finally got a little help from my doctor, he gave me phenegran gel that you rub into your wrist to help with the nausea/vomiting. It had gotten so bad that I wasn't even able to drink water or anything for that matter without getting sick. I haven't been sick since Tuesday!!!! YEAH!!! That is so amazing! I still have a lot of food aversions, one that makes me really sad is mexican food. I can't stand mexican food and that is just CRAZY! I use to be able to eat chips and salsa as a meal all by itself...now the thought makes my stomach turn. The good news is that after weeks of just being able to eat dry cereal, plain baked potatoes and drinking ensure (and that was difficult), I have been able to eat salad loaded down with veggies!!! I have to brag because this is big news for me! Ok, enough about the not so fun stuff!
I have been meaning to write this down for a while now and just now getting to it! When we told Ross the news, we talked about what he wanted, boy or girl and names. He told us that if the baby is a boy he wants to name him Ross because he has always wanted to be a twin!!! I thought that was hilarious! You know, twins always have the same name...that is what makes them twins right? He is so funny! Ross also keeps reminding me of all the things I can't do because I have a baby in my tummy. Like, he reminds that I can't wrestle, which makes me so sad b/c I love to wrestle! Just kidding, I really don't know why he said that but I thought it was funny. He also makes sure the dogs don't jump on my tummy. He is very protective of the belly! I wish I could remember all the things he has said, I will have to write them down sooner from now on!
I have taken a couple of pictures of my "bump". I lost about 6lbs b/c I have been so sick but I still feel huge! My stomach has definitely popped this week. I can't even suck it in! Derek took some pictures and you really can't see it as much in the pics but I promise it is there! My pants feel tighter too! I really am just posting these pics for memories so that I can look back at them.
Week 9
Week 10
I got to hear the heartbeat on Tuesday for the first time! Derek wasn't there b/c I went in to talk to the doc about the issues I was having with not being able to drink anything. I didn't know that I would get to hear the heartbeat but I was so happy that I did! I am sad that Derek didn't get to hear it but he was happy that I got to! The doctor said now that I am 10 weeks we will listen to the heartbeat at every apppointment. I am SO happy about that, especially because I went back in on Thursday for a follow up to make sure that I wasn't dehydrated anymore and I got to hear it again! It was 174bpm!! We go back on the 15th for my actual appointment and Derek will get to hear it!
